It's Settled: The Chicken Came First!

‘It had long been suspected that the egg came first but now we have the scientific proof that shows that in fact the chicken came first,’ said Dr Colin Freeman, from Sheffield University, who worked with counterparts at Warwick University.

Rommel C. Caibal has invited you to join the Do-Gooders of Canada team at Kiva.org

Hi!

I want to recruit you to my lending team, Do-Gooders of Canada, on Kiva, a non-profit website that allows you to lend as little as $25 to a specific low-income entrepreneur across the globe. You choose who to lend to - whether a baker in Afghanistan, a goat herder in Uganda, a farmer in Peru, a restaurateur in Cambodia, or a tailor in Iraq - and as they repay the loan, you get your money back.

If you join my lending team, we can work together to alleviate poverty. Once you're a part of the team, you can choose to have a future loan on Kiva "count" towards our team's impact. The loan is still yours, and repayments still come to you - but you can also choose to have the loan show up in our team's collective portfolio, so our team's overall impact will grow!

Check out the Do-Gooders of Canada lending team, and learn more about lending teams on Kiva in general, by clicking here: http://www.kiva.org/community/teams/join/process?team_id=13827

Thanks,
Rommel C. Caibal

Introducing the Drumbrella

This looks cool! But I wonder how long it'll take before the two year old beating their rhythmic percussion over your head finally gets on your nerves.

My Burlington is ranked the third best place to live in Canada.

Whether it's a lakeside walk at Spencer Smith Park, the majestic views from Mount Nemo, the rural beauty of Kilbride or the treelined streets of tony Roseland, the smart money says Burlington is the place to be.

At least that's the finding of MoneySense Magazine, which moved Burlington up from fourth to third in the publication's annual rankings of Canada's best cities to live in.

Yes, "My Burlington". I own it. ;) j/k
